Chief Product Officer
Sumeet Arora is the Chief Product Officer at Teradata. He leads the Product organization, overseeing engineering, product management, and the quality of innovations that the company develops and delivers to customers. Sumeet's organization is responsible for defining and executing the strategy and roadmap for Teradata’s product portfolio, focusing on innovation, performance, and efficiency.
With deep experience in analytics, AI, and cloud technology, Sumeet has a proven track record building innovative products that address customer challenges and drive revenue growth. He is passionate about building great teams that create great products.
Previously, Sumeet was the Chief Development Officer at ThoughtSpot, leading its global engineering, product, and design teams in continuously improving and scaling the company’s AI-powered data analytics platform. He helped fast-track ThoughtSpot’s transition from on-prem product to a SaaS platform, introducing GenAI-based enterprise-grade agentic analytics. Under his leadership, ThoughtSpot R&D was efficiently scaled while driving industry-leading innovation and high growth of its SaaS business.
Prior to that, at Cisco, Sumeet served as SVP and GM of Service Provider Networking, leading the Engineering and Product Management team. He drove profitable market-share growth through M&A and innovation, launching the company’s biggest new product lines in over a decade. He also helped the company build best-selling multi-billion dollar networking platforms and spearheaded its entry into the web-scale business.
Throughout his career, Sumeet has held roles of increasing responsibility within both Fortune 100 companies as well as VC-backed growth-stage ventures. He serves on the Board of CloudBees.
Sumeet holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from IIT(BHU), Varanasi, India, and a Certificate in Advanced Software Systems from Stanford University. He also has an MBA from the University of Phoenix and is a graduate of The Wharton School’s General Management Program.
