Ensuring employees can make a difference in their own way

Teradata builds stronger communities—one person at a time—through our corporate initiatives

We can build a better world by working together

Teradata Cares is a program designed to build strong and vibrant communities, improve quality of life, and make a positive difference where we live and work. And with our strategic focus on Doing Good With Data™, we’re committed to making societal change utilizing the power of data. Employees are encouraged to pursue meaningful volunteer opportunities that strengthen community connections.

Giving back together

Teradata’s chief operation officer Michael Hutchinson says Teradata Cares is the “soul of Teradata.”

Volunteer stories from around the globe

Since 2018, Teradata experts have partnered with ESCP Business School to deliver hands-on data and AI modules to students in the Master of Science in Big Data and Business analytics program. In 2024 – 2025, Teradata contributors led interactive sessions with 80 students representing 34 nationalities. Proceeds were donated to L’enfant @ l’hôpital, a nonprofit supporting hospitalized children across France.

Teradata Cares Champions

Teradata Cares Champions are the heart of our global volunteer network. With over 65 Champions in more than 45 locations, these employees lead the way in creating meaningful change in their communities.

"Volunteering has always been important to me. As a child, I joined my parents in different activities, not realizing they were teaching me the value of giving back. Whether I’m reading to students, comforting a new mom, or leading a scout troop, volunteering gives me a sense of purpose beyond my everyday life. Knowing my efforts can positively impact others is what keeps me coming back—volunteering truly feeds my soul."
