Teradata Cares

Supplier Diversity Program

Empowering us all to rise as one.

At Teradata, we’re actively working to build a better world. Partnering with small and diverse suppliers is a key part of making that goal a reality.

Diversity and inclusion are cornerstones of our culture and core values as a company. Our customers and team members represent every culture, creed, and walk of life around the globe. It’s important that diversity also extends to every corner of our business, including the companies and suppliers we partner with.

Who qualifies as a small or diverse supplier?

Small or diverse suppliers that meet Teradata’s procurement qualifications can apply to work with Teradata in transforming how businesses work and people live through the power of data. This includes businesses that are majority owned, controlled and operated by individuals from one or more of the following groups:

Diversity is in our DNA, from our customers and employees to our core values. That’s just one reason we’re proud to support minority-owned businesses. Teradata recognizes diverse certifications from a variety of third-party agencies, including the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC).

LGBT community

We’re honored to stand with the LGBT community in continuing to build allyship, awareness, and acceptance. As part of that commitment, we’re thrilled to support LGBT-owned businesses such as those certified by the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC).

Small businesses

Small businesses are a vital part of the community, contributing to innovation, connectedness, and economic growth. If your business meets the small business criteria, as defined by the Small Busines Administration (SBA) or similar criteria in your country, let’s get a conversation started.

Women are underrepresented in the tech industry, but we’re working hard to change that. One of the ways we’re doing that is by partnering with women-owned businesses. We recognize certifications from a variety of third-party agencies, including the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

It’s a privilege to honor our veterans and their service by supporting veteran and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses. Teradata recognizes diverse certifications from a variety of third-party agencies, including the National Veteran-Owned Business Association (NAVOBA).

Small businesses in Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone) help bring crucial job opportunities and economic growth to the communities that need it most. If your small business meets the HUBZone criteria, as defined by the Small Busines Administration (SBA), get in touch with us at the email below.

Our supplier diversity outreach efforts

Teradata participates in outreach activities throughout the year —including seminars and conferences—to provide support to and increase opportunities for diverse suppliers to do business with Teradata.

Teradata also partners with a variety of organizations to support the growth and development of diverse suppliers:

  • TechSCALE
  • National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC)
  • Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)
  • United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC)
  • System for Award Management (SAM)
  • Local Chamber of Commerce events
  • Trade associations and supplier diversity conferences

Teradata’s commitment to diversity

Teradata is continually exploring ways to enhance our Supplier Diversity Program and build strategic alliances with and among diverse suppliers. One way we do that is by striving to work with companies that share our commitment to diversity. We encourage all our suppliers to utilize small and diverse suppliers to fulfill contracts.
